Kathleen Sue Johnson, age 64, passed away on Thursday, January 4,
2024. She was born on July 11, 1959, to Paul and Marjorie (Hafer) Schmidt in Saint Joseph, Michigan
A celebration of Kathleen's life will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Starks and Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd.) at 11:00 am with a time to visit with her family one hour prior to the service.
Kathleen will be buried at Rose Hill cemetery at a later date. For a more lasting memory, donations in Kathleen's name can be made out to The Hero Foundation
In loving memory of Kathy, a caring and generous soul who found joy in riding horses, working in her garden, tackling outdoor projects, indulging in shopping, rocking out at concerts, and cherishing moments with family and friends. She also loved watching the Fighting Irish play on Saturdays. Known for her kindness, Kathy's generosity knew no bounds she would give you her last dollar, leaving an enduring legacy of love and compassion. May her spirit continue to inspire warmth and benevolence in the hearts of those who remember her fondly.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Jamie) Fry, III, Kaylee (Bob) McCormick; brothers, Steve & Ed Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents; Marjorie & Paul Schmidt.
