Fred's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jounior Fred Blackston. Jounior departed from this world on August 19th 2023. He was born on January 31, 1969 in Barto Florida to Junior and Joyce Blackston. United in marriage to the late Jeana Blackston.
Jounior is survived by his children; Fredrick Gargus, Donna Gargus, Robert Gargus, Steven Gargus, Joyce Gargus and James Dean Gargus. Also survived by siblings; Kelly Blackston, Cynthia Blackston (Larry Wojciehowski), Sheila Blackson, Shirley (Roger) Gargus and Linda Blackston.
Preceded in death by parents Junior and Joyce Blackston and wife of 28 years Jeana Blackston.
Despite the trials and tribulations, he faced throughout his life, his love for his children remained unwavering. Jounior spent a significant portion of his life in prison, carrying the weight of his mistakes and seeking redemption. However, during the brief period he was able to reconnect with his family, it was evident that his devotion and love for his children knew no bounds. Through his enduring love and selflessness, Jounior instilled in us the importance of forgiveness, second chances, and the power of family bonds. He tirelessly worked towards rebuilding the broken bridges and nurturing the relationships that meant the world to him. Though his time with us was cut short, his legacy remains imprinted in the hearts of those he touched. The memories of his warmth, his laughter, and his unwavering support will forever guide us through life's challenges. He may have had a disorderly past, but his determination to be the best father he could be was an inspiration to us all. As we say our final goodbyes, we choose to remember the man who loved us unconditionally, who taught us the value of resilience, and who, despite his own struggles, always put his children first. His spirit will forever guide us, serving as a constant reminder to cherish the time we have with our loved ones and to never underestimate the power of a parent's love. In honoring the memory of our beloved father, let us carry forth his legacy by valuing our family ties, embracing forgiveness, and striving to make a positive impact in the lives of others, just as he did. Rest peacefully Dad. We will forever cherish your love and the profound mark you left on our lives. Forever in our hearts. Written by James Dean Blackston your loving son.
