John's Obituary
John Gail Thoms, 73, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. He was born February 12, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Gail and Helen Thoms.
John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. He also was an avid gun collector.
John is survived by his children, Renee Thoms, Alyssa Thoms, Alexis Thoms, and Dakota Thoms; his grandchildren, Nayeli Huff, Myles Petty, and Niko Petty; and his brother, Jack (Karen) Thoms. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl (Green) Thoms; his daughter, Christina Phillips; his brother, Jim Thoms; and his parents.
Services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
