John's Obituary
John Hastings Feeley, 71, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, February, 3, 2022 at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. A gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Multiple System Atrophy Coalition, 7918 Jones Branch Drive #300, McLean, VA 22102. John was born on June 9, 1950, in Jackson, MI, and was raised by Marshall & Norma (Hastings) Feeley. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1968. During that time, he was in a Jeep Riding group where friends went up north to the sand dunes and rode around in their Jeeps. He then continued his education as a Spartan at Michigan State University. For many years, John worked as a project manager for Electronic Data Systems until the early 2000s. He was very handy around the house, his knowledge and skill set earning him the nickname “Fixit” to family and close friends. Aside from building or fixing things, he enjoyed boating, Virtual Reality, music, sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the hot tub. However, what brought the most joy to him was spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his loving wife, Judy of St. Joseph; son Erik (Tricia) Feeley and grandsons Liam & Arlo of Sterling Heights, MI; and son Ryan Feeley of Clarkston, MI; beloved stepdaughter, Kelly Reid and step grandchildren Sloane & Max; and a younger sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall & Norma; a stepdaughter, Tracy Lindsley; and a stepson-in-law, Matthew Reid. He will be greatly missed by all.
