Joanne Kay Lenardson, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
Joanne was born on November 23, 1943, to George & Francis (Weston) Howard in Benton Harbor. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, class of 1962. On February 16, 1963, Joanne married the love of her life Harry Lenardson. She worked as an administrative assistant at All Phase Electric before her retirement.
Spending time with her family was the most important time to Joanne. She was proud of her family and loved the holidays, her son’s spaghetti dinners and any reason to celebrate her loved ones. She was especially thankful for her two granddaughters Jessica and Ali and her Great grandson Henry.
Joanne enjoyed traveling with Harry and had fond memories of their trips to see her sister Cindy and her husband Dave. She loved Sara & Nick and Brian & Tracy and spending time with them and their families in Wisconsin. One of her favorite celebrations was celebrating her mother’s 90th birthday at “Fran Fest.”
She always looked forward to her daily talks with her sister Mary and hearing about Chris & Lisa and David and Aimee and their families. She was thankful to have her sister close by to be a part of her daily life.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harry Lenardson; son Jaimie (Denise) Lenardson; granddaughters Jessica (John) Leonard and Ali Lenardson; great-grandson Henry James Lenardson Piggott; sisters Mary Woodley and Cindy (Dave) Fodroczi; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
