Jim's Obituary
Jia Lal (Jim) Sharma, 78, of St Joseph MI has died on August 5th 2023. Jia, son of Janki Nath and Chanan Sharma, loving husband to Rani Sharma, and devoted father and grandfather passed away at the Hanson Hospice center surrounded by close family and friends.
Jia was a deeply affectionate and kind man and was known for his quick wit and endless jokes. His humor and good nature always put those around him at ease, frequently leaving them roaring with laughter. Jia began his career in academics as a teacher but soon applied his humor and gregarious nature to sales. His tenure at R. A. Mort spanned over 40 years and he retired as the vice president of industrial sales. He was always quick to offer a helping hand, garnering goodwill from all those around him.
He will be remembered fondly for his love of sweets of all kinds and his generous nature. Jia will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Starks Family Funeral Home at 2650 Niles Road, St Joseph at 11 AM on Tuesday the 8th of August, 2023.
