Jerry's Obituary
Jerry Paul Nicholson went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 2, 2023.
Born April 29, 1947 in Paragould Arkansas. Jerry farmed with his father, Chester (Check) and mother Juanita (Nelson) before moving to Indiana, where he met and married Helen (Sandefur) on June 15, 1968. He joined Whirlpool in 1969, and retired in 2000, after a long successful career in the field of information technology.
His quick wit and good nature made him a cherished part of the lives of co-workers, friends and family. Jerry was very kind and generous, often helping those in need. He was a significant and positive influence in many lives and the world was a better place because of him.
He was deeply loved by his 2 sons, Mark and David and David’s wife, Kara (Knuth), and grandchildren: Stephanie, Samantha, Emily, Josh, Addie and Addie’s fiancé Tyler Voth. They were without question his absolute pride and joy.
Jerry is survived by his 5 grandchildren, 2 sons, and his bride and soul mate, Helen. As a friend, uncle, brother, father, grandfather, and husband Jerry was respected, admired, and loved by all. His legacy will endure for many years in the lives of all of those that were fortunate to know him. Rest well Papa...we will always miss you.
