Jen's Obituary
Jennifer “Jen” Parrish, 52, of Cassopolis, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, surrounded by her family. Jen was known as a caring and loving person, and as her final act of kindness, she gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. She will live on through the many lives she helped save, through the Gift of Life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Pleasant View Church of Christ, 60550 Crooked Creek Rd., Cassopolis. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions in Jen’s name may be made to Pleasant View Church of Christ. Jen was born November 2, 1970, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Richard “Gene” and Phyllis (Miller) Moore. She graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School, and later went on to earn her associates degree from South Western Michigan College. On June 6, 1992, she married the love of her life, Terry Parrish. She worked as a paralegal for Jones Obenchain in South Bend for many years, and most recently for the Pokagon Band. Jen was an avid University of Michigan and Chicago Bears fan. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting. Jen had a love for the outdoors where she was often found gardening, kayaking, or spending her time at the beach. Most of all she loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Jen is survived by her loving husband, Terry Parrish; daughter, Carly Parrish; siblings, Mark Moore, Danny (Cheryl) Moore, Gina (Christopher) Bennett, Maria (Lloyd) Wilder, Monica (Dave) Majewski, Anna Macdonald and Teresa (Brian) DeCraene; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & great nephews; and many extended family and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Phyllis Moore; and siblings, Chris Moore and Michael Moore.
