Jeffrey's Obituary
Jeffrey Lonnell Allen (Bruton) better known as Uncle Muff, was born May 5th 1955 in St. Louis, MO, and passed away peacefully at his home on April 18, 2022. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Allen and his grandparents Marie & Edward Allen Sr.
Jeff graduated from Bangor High School in 1973 and attended John A Logan College in Carbondale, IL. Jeff was an athlete and played Varsity Basketball, Cross Country and Track. Jeff held the school High Jump record for many years. He loved music and played the bass guitar in the bands Black Fox and Soul United. Jeff's love for music was a part of his spirit; anytime you encountered him, music was always playing. Jeff made his career as an independent paint contractor. He loved to paint and his work was highly valued & sought after.
Jeff always spent time with the people that were most important in his life. He was a loving & caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and loyal friend. Jeff provided all with that smile, laugh, storytelling, and quick wit. Known for being very cool, it was said that he was so cool that he could walk between raindrops and not get wet. Jeff was super chill, super smooth and always charming. He gave us unconditional love that we will forever hold in our hearts.
Jeff is survived by his children, Andre Allen, Kalip Allen, Kimosha (Phil) King, Lonnell Hobb & Jeffrey Hall. His sisters, Stephanie (Reginald) Hunn and Linda (Ralph) Barton. His brother, Dwayne (Denise) Driver. His Uncle Melvin (Cliffalee) Allen, Aunt Doreen (Jesse) West, and Aunt Geraldine King. He is also survived by his (7) grandchildren and (6) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins along with his special friend Elnora Snipes.
A Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan, 49090. Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel - Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. 269-637-0333
