Jeannine's Obituary
Jeannine Ann Eisenman, age 73, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. She was born on July 21, 1949, to Georgine Carr (Sodd) in Toldeo, Ohio. On July 7, 1981, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Eisenman, and they spent 41 loving years together.
Jeannine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. There was never any doubt that her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved being the matriarch. Job number one was spoiling the grandkids with a flourish. She was often affectionately called “Grandma Ice Cream” which was their way of saying Eisenman. She always managed to have some sort of treat for the grandchildren. Hershey kisses (mooches) from Grandma always put a smile on their faces. She still had time to collect an extensive array of Beanie Babies. (the thrill was in the chase). She was also a big QVC shopper- just ask the UPS driver. She was a terrific cook and made a mean chicken paprikash. She will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the nurses and respiratory therapists at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital for their wonderful, loving care she received while there.
A visitation with Jeannine’s family will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Starks and Menchinger (2650 Niles Road St. Joseph, MI 49085) from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (220 Church St. St. Joseph, MI 49085) at 10:00 am. Burial will take place following the service at Ruggles Cemetery. For a more lasting memory, donations in Jeannine’s name can be made out to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Jeannine is survived by her loving husband, Bob Eisenman; children, Jody (Doug) Albee, Julie (Jason) Querfurth, Rob (Samantha) Eisenman, Mark (Ashley) Eisenman; and grandchildren, Kevin Albee, Alec Albee, Jaylie Querfurth, Jacob Querfurth, Elias Eisenman, Lucas Eisenman, Alena Eisenman, Mia Eisenman, and Archie Eisenman.
