Jay's Obituary
Jay W. Gaston, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024. Born on July 13, 1941 to Odell and Rena (Krogel) Gaston in Kalamazoo, Michigan. United in marriage to Patricia Gaston in Charleston S.C on October 11, 1992.
Jay is survived by his wife of 32 years Patricia, daughters; Lori (Eric) Campbell, Tracy (Tim) Keeler, Dante (Kevin) Connell, Shea (Marc Isserles) Dean and son Chad Gaston. Also survived by grandchildren; Maigan (Brian) Baird, Jessica Campbell, Bailey Campbell, Erin (Matthew) Culver, Katharine Connell, William Connell, Sarah Connell, Oona Isserles Audrey Isserles, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his sister Ladell Hackenberg and grandson Justin Keeler.
Jay worked in the construction industry in Kalamazoo Michigan for many years. He greatly loved his extended family. Once owning a small farm, he had a deep appreciation for the fields the crops, and the natural world. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, woodworking and living by Lake Michigan.
