Jim "Sonny"'s Obituary
Jim “Sonny” Todd, 77, of Stevensville died Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born August 18, 1946 in Santa Rosa, California to John D. Todd and Anjanet Bittle. As a child he relocated with his family to Benton Harbor, Michigan where he attended Benton Harbor High School and was a member of the Salvation Army where he met his wife, Patricia Ann Ewing. They were married on June 4, 1966. Jim was employed by Gast Manufacturing and worked as a manufacturing supervisor for over 30 years before his retirement in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; two daughters, Kimberly (Wayne) Hedman, Stacy Todd; grandchildren, Bailey (Andrew) Uggeri, Sara Buckle, Benjamin Buckle, and Kelsey Hedman; three siblings, Sheridan (Ron) Morris, Betty (Bobby) Tosh, and Joseph (Audrey). He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings Mayrene and Allen.
A funeral service for Jim will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Road) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name can be made out to either Caring Circle Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
