Helen J. Rouse age 84 of Bangor, Michigan died at her home on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Helen was born October 10, 1939 in Newport, Arkansas to Delma (Smart) and Robert Davis. Helen married Ronald Rouse on Sept. 26, 1959 in Bangor. Helen worked for 26 years for Bangor Public Schools. Helen loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing craft projects and was a great seamstress. She also liked to bake and was known for her pumpkin squares.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Rouse who died in 2012. Also, by her parents, Robert and Delma Davis, brother, Edward Davis and sisters, Joan Smith and Vivian Garner.
Surviving are her children: Ronald (Carol) Rouse, Robert (Nicole) Rouse, Daniel (Heather) Rouse, Dennis Carr, Sandy (Mike) Strasser all of Bangor. Linda (Larry) Deniston of Kalamazoo. 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Siblings: Bobbie (Nancy) Davis, Donald (Carolyn) Davis, Jerry (Elizabeth) Davis and Omalee (Kenny) Elliot.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Chapel in South Haven. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 26, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Jones officiating. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in Arlington Hill Cemetery in Bangor.
