Helen's Obituary

Helen A. Bellavia, 101, of Stevensville, passed away. Friday, December 4, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph with Fr. Arul Lazar officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Memorial donations in Helen’s name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Helen was born November 21, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Vito & Giovanne (Martinico) Forgia. She devoted her life to caring for her home and family as well as working for many years at Heath Company in St. Joseph. Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph and the Stevensville American Legion Auxiliary, Post #568. She cherished the time spent with family and friends for holidays, birthdays and other special occasions.

Helen is survived by her children-Frank (Juanita) Bellavia of St. Charles, IL, Janet Haynes of Maitland, FL, Joseph (Rhonda) Bellavia of San Diego, CA, Thomas (Barbara) Bellavia of St. Joseph; nine grandchildren-Steve (Jenny) Bellavia, Carol (Joe) Weber, Greg (Sharon) Haynes, Jeff (Lynn) Haynes, Theresa (Jon) Gaunder, Kelly (Paul) Kocina, Joe (Marlo) Bellavia, Frank Bellavia & Jessica (Ben) Stephen; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-Bernice DaDan of Stevensville, Rose Porcaro of Bell Flower, CA; and several nieces & nephews. Helen was preceded in death by two brothers-Joseph & Vito Forgia
