Harold's Obituary
Harold R. Lick, 87, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan or to his step-daughter/caregiver Chris Williams. Harold was born on April 12, 1936 in St. Joseph, Michigan to the late Reinholdt & Emma (Schmidt) Lick. He was raised on Silver Beach and was known as a “sand rabbit.” He retired from the City of St. Joseph. He loved walking around anywhere and everywhere, going to the Brown Bag concerts, having a fish sandwich, or a cheeseburger at Mr. Gyros (his favorite place), Bingo, and of course his starlight mints. He never met a stranger, cause he sure was a talker!
Left to cherish the memory of Harold is his daughter, Denise Sadler; step-children, Chris (Rodger) Williams, Darlena (Butch) Kauffman, Pamela Gravatt, Linwood Flippo; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife Charlene; his second wife Shirley; brother, Duane Lick and his sisters, Beverly Garcia, Judy Lausman, Delores Drakopulos, Caroline Hatfield, Elaine Walker, Vivian Smith and Diane Parker.
The family would like to thank the team at PACE for all of their support through-out Harold’s seven years with them. The family also thanks the staff at West Woods of Bridgman.
He will be deeply missed! Rest in Peace, Duke.
