Gail's Obituary
Gail Lyn Postelli, 72, died peacefully, surrounded by family on September 24, 2022 in Mishawaka, IN. She was born on August 29, 1950 in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Frank William and Norma Jean (Clary) Phillis.
Gail graduated from Saint Joseph High School, class of 1968. She loved gardening and caring for her yard. Gail sang for the church praise team at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a master organizer and enjoyed taking care of her home. She loved to ride her bike, go camping with family and spending time with animals. Gail was also known for her avid dancing skills, which she used every time she had a chance.
Surviving family members include her sister and brother-in-law Joann and Terry Hoover; her daughter, Shawn Mazelin and husband Allen; son, Brett Postell; son, Jason Postelli and wife Celina; and son, Chad Postelli and wife Alicia. Gail is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Gail is preceded in death by her father, Frank Phillis Jr., mother, Norma Jean Phillis and brother, Michael Phillis.
Visitation will be held at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI, on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11:00am, with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Burial will be take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Lunch reception will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church.
