Florine's Obituary
Florine Frazier transitioned home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Wednesday, September 25. 2024, surrounded by three of her loving daughters, at the age of 97.
She was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas. on June 18, 1927, to her parents Robert and Geneva (Jolly) Eskridge.
Florine was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in South Haven, Michigan, where she served faithfully as part of the Nurse's Guild.
Florine loved gardening, fishing, sewing, and her passion was baking. Her most favorite past-time was going to garage sales, rummage sales, flea markets, etc. She very much loved spending time with her children, whom she adored dearly, taking them to the lake, fairs, parks, and even the blueberry fields. She was a very passionate caregiver to those who needed her. She had a big heart for the elderly and loved taking care of them and enjoyed time spent.
Florine was preceded in death by one son, Robert L. Strong, her mother Geneva Pye, two sisters; Lorine Eskridge & Pearly Wynn, and one nephew, Lawrence Wynn.
Florine is survived by five daughters; Betty Collins of Maumelle, Arkansas, Ruby Payne of Brinkley, Arkansas, Allie Strong, Susie Armstrong and Maureen (Marvin) Strong of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Three sons; Larry (Dewanna) Strong of Smithsville, North Carolina, Anthony Strong of Battle Creek, Michigan and Claude Strong of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be at the Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven Michigan 49090, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Immediately following will be the Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Paralee Harris Officiating. Florine will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery in Covert, Michigan.
