Elisabeth's Obituary
Elisabeth Ruth Schultz, 92, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at her home.
Elisabeth was born in Lodz, Poland to Artur and Gertrud (Frencel) Gampe. Elisabeth was, above all, a devoted wife, mother and follower of Jesus Christ. She was married to her late husband Gerhard Schultz in 1951 and immigrated to the USA in 1958. Elisabeth was a faithful member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church. She used her gift of hospitality to serve others at her church and in her home. She also served at the Shoreham Nursing Home. Elisabeth enjoyed capturing memories by using her photography skills. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Elisabeth is survived by her two sons - Armin (Sheila) Schultz of Coloma, MI; Arthur (Linda) Schultz of Wadsworth, IL; her daughter Claudia (Scott) Sorensen of Beach Park, IL; five grandchildren – Kurtis (Catherine) Schultz of Greely, CO; Cameron Schultz of Lake Arrowhead, CA; Mikayla Schultz of Gurnee, IL; Kailey (Evan) Sherling of Kenosha, WI & Mitchell Sorensen of Beach Park, IL; two great grandchildren Joseph and Franklin Schultz; and her sister-in-law Maria Schultz. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerhard in 2007, her parents, and her sisters Hilde Gahl and Rita Fiedler of Germany.
A Celebration of life graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, Dec 16, 2021 at the Riverview Cemetery, 2925 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Dan Golladay officiating.
