Eileen's Obituary
Eileen Dunnett Resch, age 94, of Holland, MI passed away to eternal life March 1, 2023.
Eileen was born in Tayport, Scotland on October 5, 1928. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Lake Geneva, WI. As a young lady she lived in California, Chicago and New York. She loved visiting Scotland, and made several trips back with her parents. In 1977 she married David J Resch. She & David loved to travel and sail Lake Michigan.
After David retired, they moved to St. Joseph, where she was an active member at First Congregational Church and several local groups. She also volunteered at the Krasl Art Center. Eileen was an avid gardener, accomplished artist and enjoyed painting landscapes with trees and streams blending into beautiful skies. She will be remembered for her warmth with friends and family, her interest in exploring the world, her generosity, caring, encouragement and grace to all around her and her strong faith, which guided and anchored her through life.
She is survived by sister-in-law Shirley Dunnett, 2 nephews, and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward, brother Walter and husband David.
A Graveside prayer will be held at the Riverview Cemetery on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 at 2:00 pm in St. Joseph.
