Edward was born on June 4, 1959, to Vern & Sandy (Byrnes) Crampton in Ludington, MI. He graduated from Muskegon High School and began work in construction followed by work as a foundry worker. He then received his Millwright Trade Certification through Lake Michigan College. Since then he has worked at Cook Nuclear Plant for over 35 years. He started in the Maintenance Department and for the last 20 years worked as a Procedure Writer.
Edward loved people, he enjoyed talking with others and was happiest when he could make others smile. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, but his most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren. His Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He spent a great deal of time mentoring and leading others to Christ in his free time and through his time spent as a Stephen’s Minister.
Edward is survived by his son Edward (Sara) Crampton II of Portage; grandchildren, Hudson and Landyn; mother Sandy Glore; sisters, Lisa (Scott) Rogers of Georgia and Paula Byrnes of Muskegon; his extended Colorado family; and former wife Sharon Crampton of Bridgman.
Edward was preceded in death by his step father Bob Glore and father Vern Crampton.
