Doyle's Obituary
Doyle Clarence Roberts, Jr., 83, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday – May 20, 2022 at Spectrum Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. As per Doyle’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Doyle was a retired truck driver for over 40 years. He was an army veteran. Doyle met his wife Shirley in 1995 and married in October 1996. He referred to her as “the Love of his life” and she was his loving and forever “lady bug.” Doyle enjoyed Nascar, traveling, movies and music, but most of all loved his family and friends. He was a gentle but firm man. Doyle will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Doyle is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters – Lorie Vogie, Julie (Robin) Sanders, Joyle Woulfe, Lisa Spencer and Dana Smith; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; step-daughter – Kathy Sater; sister – Lois (Sheldon) Friske; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Buddy (Carol) McIntyre and Jerrie (Steve) Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents – Doyle and Willadean Roberts; grandson – Aaron Vogie; step-sons David, Donnie and Brian Sater; son-in-laws – Ross Spencer and Danny Smith.
Shirley is very thankful to good friends Jay, Ray, Tom and the VA Team for there support and help.
