Sissy's Obituary
A time of sharing & remembrance will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends can pay their respects beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Donna’s name may be made to The Family c/o Moneshaniea McKinney. Donna was born December 11, 1967 in Benton Harbor to Robert & Doris Marie (McGhee) McKinney, and attended Benton Harbor Area Schools. She dedicated her life to caring for her three sons. For many years, Donna was an Avon Representative in the area. She was very particular about her hair and makeup, always wanting to look good. Donna was a very kind and generous person, always looking out for others and protecting her families well-being. She cherished the time spent with her children, siblings, nephews & nieces. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna is survived by three sons-Devin McKinney & James Turner, both of Kalamazoo & Justin McKinney; her long-time companion Sebastian Wilburn of Benton Harbor; her siblings-Rohnette “Cookie” (Bruce) Green, Theodore “Teddy” McKinney & Phillip Luster, all of Benton Harbor, Onchantae McKinney of South Bend, Terra McKinney of Lansing, Brian McKinney, Shannon McKinney, Moneshaniea McKinney, all of Benton Harbor, Champagne McKinney of Kalamazoo; numerous nieces & nephews; and her aunt Jean Clinton of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents-Robert McKinney & Doris McKinney, and a great-niece Savionna McKinney.
