Don's Obituary
Donald R. Isbrecht, 64, of Sodus, passed away, Tuessday, November 15, 2022 in Baldwin, Michigan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2022 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Bill Bridgman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Don was born March 10, 1958 in St. Joseph to Elmer & Ella (Lester) Isbrecht. He graduated from Watervliet High School, Class of 1976. Don worked for several years at Whirlpool Corp. and it was there that he met his future wife-Judie Lehmann. They were married August 7, 1981 in St. Joseph. Don gained employment at Bosch Corp in St. Joseph in 1987, retiring as supervisor in 2015 after twenty-eight years. Don enjoyed tending to his yard and to his vegetable garden at the house. He was a very generous person, always willing to help out someone in need. He loved children and cherished the time spent with his nieces & nephews. Don just reached a milestone when he made his 50th consecutive opening day of deer season in Northern Michigan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don is survived by his wife Judie; his siblings-Evelyn Morris of Buchanan, Michael Isbrecht of Watervliet, twin brother Ron (Trish) Isbrecht of Hartford, Mark (Laura) Isbrecht of Sodus; numerous nieces, nephews & great-nieces & nephews, and his brother-in-law Gary Lehmann of Sodus. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carolyn Crowder, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law-Ray Morris, Barry Crowder & May Isbrecht.
