Donald Alex Balzer, 63, of Three Oaks, MI, passed away on Thursday – December 15, 2022, at his home in Three Oaks, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Don was born in Michigan City, IN on January 29, 1959 to the late Alfred and Bertha (Steinborn) Balzer. He was a 1977 graduate of New Buffalo High School. Don was owner and operator of A & R Truss for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and boating. Don was also a member of the Sons of American Legion.
Don is survived by sisters – Betty (Julian) Becker of Three Oaks and Connie (Paul) Koth of Sawyer; several nephews and nieces with special great nephew Parker. He is preceded in death by his sister Jan Sexton and brother Butch Schwark.
