Dolly's Obituary

Dr. Dolly Crenshaw, 84, was born on August 25, 1938, in Chicago IL, to Edward Nance and Jettie Bankhead. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading, art, antiques and decorating.
Blessed and Happily Married on June 8, 2000 to Elder James Lee Crenshaw for twenty-two years. Blessed to be the mother of fourteen (Seven birthed and blessed with five and two adopted) children. Thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, she also fostered over ten foster children.

Dolly was born again at the age of twenty-one. She heard the word of God, and accepted Gods plan for salvation, according to the holy word of God; repented all of her sins, was baptized in water in Jesus’ precious name and filled with the holy ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit of God gave utterance.

Dolly was called and has stayed in the ministry from age twenty-two, until now. Active in bible teaching, intercessory and deliverance ministry and prayer, prison ministry, preaching in drug houses, and anywhere opportunity presented itself.

Dolly completed her secular education obtaining, a Registered Nurse’s degree, Bachelors in Health Studies, Masters in Education and PhD in Christian Marriage Counseling: Degree; in Theology from Aenon Bible college. Founder of the greater Faith Apostolic Bible College and was an ordained minister of the P.A.W. Inc. for thirty-four years. Currently a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle City of New Beginning Church in Benton harbor for two to three years, prior to Greater Faith for 14 years.

Dolly’s goal in this life was to live every day for Christ as if it were her last day, and to continue intercessory prayers, preach and teach deliverance to the lost at any cost, in Jesus’ Precious Name.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband James Crenshaw, children, Jettie D. Ware, Sharon D. Williams, Donald J. Winters, Wilhelmina D. (Leonard) Brooks, Emmanuel Winters, Michael J. Winters, Isaiah J. Crenshaw, Daniel J. Crenshaw, James Vaughn Crenshaw, Westly (Kshana) Crenshaw, Lesa (Anthony) Henry, Joy (Michael) Mason and Kimberly (Charles) Williams. Also survived by siblings, Bernie Smith aka Bunny-Boy, Donald (Barbara) Nance Sr. and Wilhelmina Bryant.

Dolly is preceded by her parents Edward Nance and Jettie Bankhead, First Born Grandchild Katina Ware Tate, siblings, Julia O’niece Smith, Merritt Sam Nance, Bernard Nance, Lucille Hunter, George Nance Sr., Rudolph James Nance, Edward Nance Jr., Carl Winters and Willie Winters.

Visitation for Dolly will take place Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Full Gospel Tabernacle New Beginnings Church, 1800 Territorial Rd, Benton Harbor, MI 49022, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 12 p.m. Pastor Carl Horne will officiate. Dolly will be laid to rest on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution can do so to Everlearning Ministries, Inc.
