Diane Sue Hawkins – Wolf of St. Joseph passed away on August 15th, 2024
Please join us at The Chapel, August 23rd, 2024. The visitation will be from 9am to 11am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11am with a luncheon to follow.

Diane was born on August 4th, 1949 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Joseph and Emily Wolf.
Diane met the love of her life, Dan Hawkins, and married at the age of eighteen. Together they raised three children in St. Joseph. Diane and Dan wore many hats in the support of their family businesses- real estate appraising, rental properties, Lakeshore Roller Rink, and construction -- just to name a few.
Diane was an avid gardener. Her love of plants made her house, the envy of the neighborhood. In addition, her hobby of re-blooming orchid plants delighted many recipients. She was also an active member of the St. Joseph senior center, garden club, and the Bible study group at the chapel in St. Joseph.
Diane's greatest passion was her love for her family. She was instrumental in the raising of her six grandchildren, and she recently welcomed her first great grandchild Donatello Grimes. Diane would sacrifice her time and energy to ensure her family's needs were met before her own. Diane has a strong faith in God. This faith guided her life and touched all those around her.
Diane is survived by her husband, Dan Hawkins of St. Joseph, preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Schlutt. Survived by brother John (Carol) Wolf, and her three children and spouses—son, David (Heather) Hawkins, daughters Donna Hawkins, and Angela (Matt) Achterberg.
Also, her eight grandchildren- Jordan (Theresa) Grimes, Calvin Grimes, Maison Grimes; Joshua Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins, Hannah Hawkins; Jacob Achterberg and Rachel (Nolan) Achterberg Meekhof; and in addition her great grandson, Donatello Grimes.
