Diane Ruth Martin of South Haven, passed away at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
Diane was born on November 21, 1945, in South Haven, Michigan to Almena (Burrows) Wheeler and Joseph Wheeler. She graduated from South Haven High School. Diane married Jerry Martin on Saturday, February 17, 1968 at Maple Grove Bible Church in South Haven, Michigan. Three children were born from this union of marriage.
Diane and Jerry had been married for 49 years before he passed away. She was also a very active member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she made floral arrangements for church services.
Diane is survived by her children; Shelly Ann (Lincoln) Clark of Dowagiac, Michigan, Thomas (Amanda) Martin of Cassopolis, Michigan, Timothy (Tracy) Martin of Holland, Michigan. She’s also survived by her seven grandchildren; Emily, Landon, Grace, Justin, Jacob, Kayla and Jessica and one great-grandchild; Maverick.
Preceding Diane in death were her parents, Armena and Joseph Wheeler, her husband, Jerry Martin, siblings, Dr. Joseph Wheeler, Eugene Wheeler, Everett Wheeler, Deloris Dickerson, and LaVerta Rydecki.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11a.m. followed by a Funeral at 12p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 06701 Blue Star Hwy in South Haven with Pastor B.J. Marshall officiating.
