Diane's Obituary
Diane M. Carter 84 of South Haven passed away at her home on October 31, 2023. Born on March 8, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Frances Kopinski. United in marriage on October 10, 1958 to James Carter.
Visitation for Diane will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Casco United Methodist Church 880 66th St. South Haven, Michigan 49090 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Christina Fleming will officiate.
Diane is survived by her husband of 65 years Jim, sons; Craig Carter, Edward (Sherry) Carter, Daniel (Sherri) Carter, grandchildren; Alison Carter, Jacob Carter, Sam Carter, Logan Carter and Erin Carter. Also survived by sisters; Wanda (Larry) Smith and Catherine Valentino.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister Phyllis Haggard.
After losing her parents at a young age Diane became the caretaker of her two younger sisters. Diane graduated from South Haven High School. She married Jim and together they raised 3 sons. Diane was hardworking, always wanted everyone to be happy. Diane and Jim traveled to every state in the U.S. except for Delaware and Rhode Island. Her favorite trip was to Europe with her sister Cathy. She loved home remodeling and interior design. Diane has been a member of Casco United Methodist Church since 1971 where she enjoyed attending her adult Sunday School class. She will be deeply missed.
