Deborah's Obituary
Deborah Rosenthal, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was born on September 12, 1940 in St. Joseph, Michigan. On December 26, 1959, she married the love of her life, George Rosenthal, II, and they spent 53 years together until his passing in September of 2012.
A Funeral Service for Deborah will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at The Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI 49085. A time of visitation with her family will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Spring Run Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deborah’s name can be made out to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Deborah’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved feeding the birds and bunnies in her yard. Every Thursday night you could find her playing bingo with her fellow residents at the Waterford Park Apartments.
Deborah is survived by her children, George (Carole) Rosenthal; Dianna Montgomery, and Rick (Cynthia) Rosenthal; grandchildren, Brittany (Seth), Alyssa, Becca, Chelsea, Jami, Ethan, Michael, Lauren, Jacob (Rachel), Roxas; great-grandchildren, Elisha and Eliada; brothers, Richard Story and David Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Mary (Spellman) Sutherland; brothers, Steve and Keith Sutherland; and many beloved pets throughout the years.
