David's Obituary

David M. Randolph, 80, of St. Joseph, MI passed away October 22, 2023 at the Whitcomb Tower in St. Joseph.

A Gathering will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Monday, November 6, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A time of sharing will follow at 3:00 P.M. Dave was an avid animal lover and adopted several rescue dogs throughout his lifetime. David was born October 17, 1943 in South Bend, IN to Kenneth & Mary (Shanafelt) Randolph. He graduated form St. Joseph High School in 1962 and then attended Lake Michigan College, Western Michigan University, Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. In 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army where he served one year in combat Vietnam. He led a Platoon as a sergeant and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star Medal. On August 31, 1973 he married Karen Goldner in Benton Harbor. He worked for Whirlpool Corporation and retired in 1999. David served on many Boards and Clubs including the Board of Directors of the BHSJ YMCA for 14 years and 2 as president. Board of Directors of the Whirlpool Corporate Management Club for 10 years and 1 year as president. Was a Charter member of the Rotary Club of Benton Harbor Sunrise, worked as a stage hand at the Mendel Center, served on the Lincoln Township Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and ran for the Berrien County Commissioners Office. David also received a Senior Citizens Planner Rating from MSU.

David is survived by his sister Janice Randolph; brother John (Dana) Randolph and many loving nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents and the Love of his life Karen Lynn (Goldner) Randolph who passed away in 2009.
