David's Obituary
David A. Bella, 80, passed away at home on May 21, 2023. He was born February 18, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Stephen A. and Elizabeth Esther (Vliek) Bella.
David’s education began in South Bend schools with graduation from Decatur High and Whirlpool Technical Institute in Michigan. David worked 22 years at South Bend Lathe and 20 years at a contract machine shop he founded, Ultra Manufacturing, Inc.
Survivors include his companion, Connie (Brucks) Rebey; daughter, Tonya Bella of Walkerton, IN; son, Stephen Bella (Katherine) of Ohio; sister, Georgia Bella of Mishawaka, IN; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gloria Manuszak of Vicksburg, MI.
At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday June 3 at 1pm at Holy Family Church, Decatur with Father Arul Lazar officiating.
