Darwin's Obituary
Darwin Gerald Schultz, 81, of Spruce, MI, formerly of Berrien Springs, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Medilodge of Alpena.
Darwin was born April 17, 1941, in Alpena to the late Carl and Amanda (Sommerfield) Schultz. He married Lucille Mousseau on April 27, 1963. Before moving back to the Alpena area, Darwin worked at Welden/Bosch Inc. in Bridgman, MI. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the nature & beauty of Northern Michigan. Darwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Lincoln, and Grace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph while living in the area.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille; four daughters, Terri (George) Ross, Geri Ott, Connie (Steve) Arend, Amy (Michael) Mathews; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; seven siblings; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Darwin was preceded in death by two sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 11, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Glenn Rosenbaum officiating.
