Darlene Irene Unger, age 79, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1944, in Allegan, MI
A funeral service for Darlene will take place on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church (404 E. Glenlord Rd.) at 12:00 pm with Pastor Joshua Bishop officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place following the service at Hudson Corner’s Cemetery in Allegan. Donations in Darlene’s name can be made out to Grace Lutheran Church Music Ministries.
Darlene was an avid crafter and loved collecting things to display in her home. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, and though her passing saddens those who loved her, she was reunited with her beloved husband, Lawrence Unger, to celebrate.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassondra (Paul) Kippes; granddaughter, Caitlin Kippes; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Winifred and Donald Emerick; and her grandparents, Truman and Anna Dodge.
