Danielle's Obituary
Danielle Margarethe Docekal, 45, of Decatur, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at her home in Decatur. She was born November 9, 1977 in Kalamazoo, MI to Douglas and Juanita (Doublestein) Hendrixson.
Danielle was a quintessential family woman. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Danielle loved cook outs with the family, and navigating the lake out on their boat. Danielle loved to travel; one highlight of her life being the trip she took with Tony traveling the west coast from Washington to California. She was also a member of the VFW women’s auxiliary in Decatur.
Danielle is survived by her husband, Tony Docekal, whom she married October 8, 2012 in Decatur; her children, Tyler (Courtney) Johnson, Andrew Docekal, Dustin Docekal, and Adam (Lillian) Docekal; her grandchildren, Aiden, Noah, Ryan, Jonathan, Isabella, Owen, Aaron and Aurora; her mother, Juanita Hendrixson; and her siblings, Tim (Wendy) Hendrixson, Jason (Jennifer) Hendrixson, Sonia (Gary) Kling, Nikki (Paul) Worline, and Dawn (Phil) Evanoff. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Austin; and her father, Doug Hendrixson.
The family will have a celebration of life gathering on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1pm-3pm at the VFW, Post 6248, 560 N. Phelps St., Decatur.
