Daniel's Obituary
Daniel (Dan) E. Zielke, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1951, to Edward and Ada (Polashak) Zielke in Benton Harbor, MI.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with a time of sharing at 5:00 pm. For a more lasting memory donations in Dan’s name can be made out to the Alano House (4162 Red Arrow Hwy, Stevensville, MI 49127). Feel free to share a memory with his family. Dan retired from Whirlpool and went on to be devoted to over 30 years working with the community in achieving and maintaining sobriety. He was a long-term active member of the Alano House. Dan had a sharp memory and was passionate about telling stories and jokes. He enjoyed the many Dachshund’s he had throughout his life.
Dan is survived by his loving sisters, Sharon Dewey, Patricia (Harry) Jaeger, Sandy Stoltz and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving significant other, Mary Kay Killian; brother-in-laws Chuck Dewey and George Stoltz and his faithful canine companion, Jake.
