Clarence's Obituary
We gather to celebrate the life of Clarence Willard Irvine Sr., 82, as he walked into glory on the early morning hours of February 20, 2022.
Clarence was born in Ottumwa, IA, to his parents Rev. Arthur J. Irvine Sr. and Verdie (Lewis) Irvine. Clarence lived a good portion of his life in Chicago, then moved to Bangor, MI, in 1979, where he lived in the area for the remainder of his life.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents Arthur and Verdie Irvine, his brother Arthur Irvine, a devoted aunt, Catherine L. Steward, a host of family, friends, and Jesus.
Clarence is survived by his five children Cynthia (Edward) Reese of Metro Chicago, Clarence Irvine Jr. of Dallas, TX, Catherine (Zach) Merriman of Lawrenceville, GA; Terrence (Heather) Irvine of Covert, MI; Marcus Irvine of Kalamazoo, MI. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter Sharita Beasley of Kalamazoo, 15 grandkids and five great grandkids.
Clarence was a dedicated father – he loved his family dearly, a food connoisseur, a jokester (what kind of birds don’t fly?), and you could say his claim to fame was being featured in the South Haven Tribune for his dedication to transporting people to a number of appointments while they enjoyed listening to the Cozy radio station and some laughs.
Visitation starts at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on February 28, at Filbrandt- Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave., South Haven, MI.
