Clarence's Obituary

Clarence Terry Fowler of South Haven, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024.

Clarence was born on June 3, 1943 in South Haven to the late Charles and Mary (Carter) Fowler. On July 24, 1965 he married Norma Jean Hammond. She survives along with their two children, Troy (Sandra) Fowler and Jill (Jeff) Geier. Also surviving are three grandchildren – Austin Geier, Devin and Taryn Fowler and five great grandchildren – Arynn, Zeke, Flynn, Dylan and Ryker. He has one surviving sister, Judy Hrdlicka and one brother, Carter Fowler, who preceded him in death.

Clarence loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Clarence also enjoyed getting together with his friends to swap stories and to sometimes play a good game of poker.

Clarence worked on the family farm until 1984. He then joined the Carpenters’ Union and later joined the Millwrights’ Union, Local 1102. As a millwright, Clarence worked for many different contractors throughout
Michigan and other parts of the country, but South Haven was home from day one. He was a hard worker and passed that trait and his knowledge on to his children.

Clarence requested to be cremated and no funeral.
