Clarence's Obituary
In his early years, Clarence began painting for Frank Edmonds then moved on to Swing-Lo Scaffolding. In 1972, he started a 32 year career at Bendix Braking System, later known as Bosch. He retired in 2004 as a machine operator. Clarence was a dedicated member of Covert Public school board for 32 years. Alongside his wife Cheryl, he helped in caring for more than 150 foster children over the past 2 decades.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Lauderdale Sr., Allena Lauderdale, and son/Godson A’Mmary De’Sha Peterson.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Cheryl Lauderdale, his 5 children Tanya Marie Lauderdale-Barfield (Cedric) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Shayla Veralena Lauderdale of Charlotte, North Carolina, DaVaughn Clarence Lauderdale of Detroit, Michigan, Birgit Ashley Lynn Lauderdale-Haqq (Dean) of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Taurienne Britanni Lauderdale of Auburn Hills, Michigan, his sister Selena Randall (the late JC) of South Haven, Michigan, brother Larry Lauderdale (Karen) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
