Christel ”Kiki” Pauline (Steltner) Schalon
Christel passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 19, 2024.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00PM, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:00AM at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Christel was born November 6, 1941, to Henry and Martha (Froehlich) Steltner. Christel loved socializing with friends at FOP Lodge 96 and the Mark III. She had a love for her little dogs throughout the years, and later in life her great grandchildren were her everything.
Christel leaves behind her daughter, Tiffany (Schalon) Graves; stepdaughters, Sindy Schalon and Sharon (Schalon) Grau; grandson, Cody (Whitney) Sposato; great-granddaughters, Harper and Quinn Sposato and great-grandson, Garrett Sposato; nieces Kathy (Berk) Ross, Pam (Pethick) Catania, Chris (Steltner) Rector and Karri (Kelm) Weber; and Nephew Lance Phillippi.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Schalon; parents, Martha and Henry; brother, Ed Steltner; sisters, Ruth (Steltner) Pethick, Adeline (Steltner) Berk and Jean (Steltner) Meade, niece, Mary (Steltner) Himbaugh and grandson Benjamin Graves II.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, St. Joseph, MI.
