Marion "Cedric"'s Obituary

Marion “Cedric” Spicher, 77, life-long resident of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 in Kalamazoo.

The family will receive guests from 12pm until time of celebration of life service at 1pm, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur. Burial to follow at Harrison Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions may be given to the family c/o Brian Spicher.
Cedric was born November 13, 1944 in Decatur to Carl and Ethel (Osborne) Spicher. On February 8, 1967 he married Linda Kirby. Later that year, he enlisted in the Army. Over his several years in the Army, Cedric was the recipient of three purple hearts. Cedric was very well known in his community. He was a self-made man, becoming very successful in real estate. His family remembers him as a hard-working, kind father, grandfather, and friend.

Cedric will be missed by his sons, Allan (Kimberley) Spicher, and Brian (Rikki Walls) Spicher; his grandchildren, Diana (Gary) Helmuth, McKenzie (Daniel) Graybill, Kyle Spicher, Ben Schrum, Reliegh Spicher, J.D. (Emily) Odlum, and Allyssa (Andrew) Moats; and several great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Spicher; seven siblings; and his parents.
