Carolyn J. Wadley, 74, of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 3:00PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac with Pastor Mark Saylor officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or Liberty Chapel Pentecost. Carolyn was born April 22, 1947, in Arkansas, to Rufus Lee and Cleste (Roberts) Wadley. She worked for Zenith as a forklift driver from 1969 to 1987. Carolyn then worked as a mail carrier until her retirement. She had a love for animals, especially her dogs. Carolyn had a strong faith in God and was a long-time member of the Liberty Chapel Church in Dowagiac. Most of all she loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her nieces and nephews, Janet (Scott) Burgess-Banner, Steve (Denise) Wadley, Ron (Barbara) Wadley, Carol Ann (Nathan) Carlton, Sharon (Dennis) Berger and Deb Herring; cousin Rhonda Hutchison and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Willard Wadley, Jay Wadley, Wiley Wadley, Lee “Dale” Wadley, Hazel Brooks and Barbara Jean Hutchinson; and Carolyn had several special friends during her lifetime, two of these were Elna M. Clauser and Salina Barr. Carolyn also had a nine year old like a grandson (Gabe).
