Carolyn's Obituary

Carolyn J. Fanslau, 76, of Baroda, MI, passed away on Thursday – October 27, 2022 at her home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.

Carolyn was born on July 17, 1946 in St. Joseph, MI to the late Albert and Ella (Scharnowski) Lange. She was a 1964 graduate of Bridgman High School. On February 6, 1965 in Bridgman she married Richard Fanslau. Most recently she had worked at Emlong’s Nursery as a sale clerk. Carolyn was an avid bowler, loved knitting and crocheting, had a green thumb with plants and flowers, and enjoyed country music – especially Willie Nelson. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is survived by her husband – Richard; a son – Richard (Kathy) Fanslau, Jr. of Bridgman; a daughter – Jennifer (Darrin) Fannin of St. Joseph; a granddaughter – Emma Fanslau of Bridgman; and a brother – Glenn (Adelia) Lange of Stevensville.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2:00pm, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Visitation precedes the service from 12:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service.
