Carol's Obituary
Carol J. Post, 62, of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI, with Rev. Martin Measel officiating. Memorial donations in Carol’s name may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Carol was born September 1, 1961 in St. Joseph to Gerald & Vera (Cerecke) Fricke. She cherished growing up and the time spent on the family farm on Miners Road in St. Joseph, where she enjoyed the many animals. She attended Trinity Lutheran School, graduated from Michigan Lutheran High School, Class of 1979, and attended Lake Michigan College. Carol gained employment and spent her entire career at Leco Corp. in St. Joseph, retiring in 2021 after forty plus years. Carol was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and in her free time enjoyed baking, flower gardening, attending the family winery events, and most of all the time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter and the family pets. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her children-Ryan (Danielle Sergio) Post of Coloma, Kyle (Brea) Post of St. Joseph, Jennifer (Brad) Behnke of Kimberly, WI; her granddaughter Kenzi Behnke; her siblings-Steve (Karyn) Fricke & Susan Fricke, of St. Joseph, Ruth Zech of Berrien Springs; nieces & nephews-Eric Zech of Berrien Springs, Erin (Scott) Giles of Holland, MI, Elissa (Dan) Moore of Rockford, MI; great nieces & nephews; and her cousin Katie (Wally) Maurer of Berrien Springs. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her uncle & aunts-Thomas & Abigail Fricke & Joyce Cerecke.
