Brenda's Obituary
Brenda Kay Wycoff, 66, of Three Oaks, MI passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday – Nov. 9, 2021. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Brenda was born on Jan. 11, 1955 in Michigan City, IN to the late Floyd and Patsy (Taylor) Huffman. She was a 1973 graduate of New Buffalo High School and received her Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University. On June 9, 1977 in Baroda, MI she married Lester Wycoff. Brenda was a member of both St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Three Oaks and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sawyer. She was a social worker having worked with Child & Family Services in South Bend, the New Buffalo area schools and the Berrien County Jail. Brenda loved her jobs and helping people. She and Lester loved traveling and spending winters in San Diego. Brenda loved authentic Mexican food, was an avid San Francisco 49’er fan, enjoyed music and training dogs.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband Lester; cousins – Glenda (Charles) Schaub, Russell (Cindy) Bolton, Cynthia Bolton and Pamela Martin all of Three Oaks; and her aunt – Barbara Bolton also of Three Oaks. She is preceded in death by brother Ricky Huffman and a sister Karen Dobbins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sawyer, MI, on Friday – Nov. 12, 11:00am, with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation with the family is on Thursday – Nov. 11, from 5:00-7:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo; and also on Friday at the church from 10:00-11:00am.
