BEVERLY JEAN RUPPEL
1933-2022
With heavy hearts, we announce that Beverly Jean Ruppel, age 88, of St. Joseph, Michigan, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
She was born on November 13, 1933 in Coloma to Adolph and Alma (Spitzke) Henke. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1951. She worked at the First National Bank of Watervliet and the Peoples State Bank in St. Joseph. Bev married Peter Alex Ruppel, her church sweetheart, on April 21, 1955, and they raised 2 sons and a daughter, Steven, Deborah, and David. She enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of her 80+ rose bushes. She loved puzzles and playing scrabble with her sister. She was active in the Calvary Bible, LifeGate Baptist, and Napier Parkview Baptist Churches and was involved in Bible-based evangelism and music ministries, teaching Sunday school, serving in Awana Clubs, volunteering at nursing homes, and enjoyed playing the piano.
Beverly is survived by her sons Steven and David and daughter, Deborah. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Arthur Henke, and sisters, Gladys Stuck and Helen Delong.
