Barry's Obituary
Barry was born in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Carthel and Catherine (Scott) Harmon. He was a 1965 graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Barry worked in the family business East End Supply in Benton Harbor as manager from 1966-1979. He then worked and retired from Blossomland Container as a truck driver; but he did go back to work part-time at Freedom Finishing in Benton Harbor. Barry enjoyed golfing, fishing, motorcycles and going to watch the races at Hartford Motor Speedway. He loved to help others and was a devoted family man.
Barry is survived by his wife-Lynn (Berry) Willson-Harmon; children-Michelle Harmon of South Haven, Robert (Dawn) Harmon of Stevensville, Debra (Steven) Morrow of St. Joseph, Suzanne (Everette) Gaston, Jr. of Berrien Springs and step-daughter-Samantha (Matt) Miller of St. Joseph; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother-Ted (Therese) Harmon of Slidell, LA; and several nieces and nephews. Barry had married his childhood sweetheart Carol Ann Hoffman, they were married for 35 years until she preceded him in death on April 20, 2002.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday-March 15, 1:00pm, at the First Church of God in St. Joseph, with Pastor David Colp officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Visitation with the family precedes the service from 12:00-1:00pm at the church. Everyone is invited to join the Family at the Church for food & fellowship following the burial at North Shore Memory Gardens, Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or to the Berrien County Cancer Service.
