Bernard L. “Bernie” Harroff, 83, of Galien, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at West Woods of Niles.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan. Burial will follow in New Troy Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held two hours prior from 11 am – 1 pm. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.swemchapel.com.
Bernie was born on February 11, 1939 in Buchanan. On April 12, 1975, he married Nettie L. Laymen in Sawyer. Professionally he worked in die cast manufacturing at True Diecast in New Troy and Premiere Tool & Die in Berrien Springs. Bernie was a very hard worker. He loved fishing and always had a fishing rod and 5-gallon bucket in his car, ready to fish.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Virginia (Hess) Harroff; wife, Nettie L. Harroff in 1978 and brother, Richard Harroff. He is survived by many friends.
