Barbie's Obituary
Barbara G. Masters, 75 years, went to rest in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Feb 19, 2023 at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born to Lonnie and Virginia (Snodgrass) Whitehead, in Centertown, Kentucky. She married Joe Masters, who proceeded her in death. She operated Barb's DayCare for decades before retirement. Barbara was a long-time resident of Saint Joseph, MI. She most recently resided with her beloved brother Barry and wife Mary Ann in Galesberg, MI, where they spent many evenings reminiscing about their lives and enjoyed watching movies together.
"Barbie" will live on in the memory of her family and close friends. Survivors include her daughter Teresa (Randall) Enos. Siblings: Sarah Ward, Charlotte Cowgill, Gloria Herndan, and brother Barry (Mary Ann) Whitehead. Grandchildren: Brooke, Brittany, and Scott (Samantha) Rogers, David Adler Jr., Joanna Adler, Dennis, Matthew, and Sophia Milnickel. Great Grandchild: Emmet McCormack. Nieces and Nephews: Duane and Kim Cowgill, Carmen (Bob) Wyant, Kenneth (Lois) Ward, Tony Ward, Sheila McFadden, Sue Betten, Rachel (Aaron) Popp, and Rebecca Bogema. One Aunt, Carlene Reynolds; and many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Joe, and a brother Ralph Whitehead.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 12PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
