Audrey J. Slabaugh

In Memory of Audrey Jean Christman-Slabaugh, 91, of Stevensville & St. Joseph, Michigan.  Passed October 8,2021 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.  Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville, with Rev. Glenn Rosenbaum of Grace Lutheran Church officiating.

Audrey was born May 26, 1930 to Matthew and Theresa Christman of Massillon, Ohio.  On August 20, 1949Audrey married the love of her life, Freeman Slabaugh, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Massillon, Ohio.  They were married for seventy-two years. Audrey was a loving housewife and mother with three boys.  She took pride in everything she did.  She loved to travel in their RV and tending to her gardens filled with flowers, ferns and nature.  She loved spending time with family &friends.

Audrey is survived by two sons-Robert (Jeanie) Slabaugh, Randy (Marcia) Slabaugh, daughter-in-law Terri Slabaugh-Jackson; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.  Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Freeman Slabaugh, son Rick Slabaugh, parents Matthew & Theresa Christman, her sister Gloria May Otto and her brother Kenneth Christman.
