Arliss J. Jenks, 99, of South Haven passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at River Ridge Retirement Community.
Arliss was born June 10, 1923 in Bangor, Michigan to and Edith (Friend) George Krogel. Arliss married Donald E. Jenks on February 24, 1946 in Bangor, Michigan. Arliss and her husband Don owned Don’s Linoleum which they operated for many years in the South Haven area. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of South Haven.
Arliss is survived by her son, Donald (Deborah) Jenks of South Haven, Grandchildren, Karah (Keith) Hiscott of South Haven and Matt (Kristy) Jenks of Bangor, Michigan, Great-grandchildren, Macy, Rylan and Grace.
Arliss is preceded by her husband, Donald Jenks who died in 1990. Brothers - Elson “Bud” Krogel and Ronald (Millie) Krogel, sister, Ona Mae.
Private family services were held. Arliss is laid to rest in Arlington Hill Cemetery in Bangor. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to First United Methodist Church, 429 Michigan Avenue, South Haven, MI 49090 or Caring Circle of South Haven, 05055 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, MI 49090.
